It is a .deb/debian based distribution very similar to debian , u can do apt-get update etc ...

Any chance of having it's own forum ?

You are welcome to have an appreciation for Maemo. However, your repeated slights against Android are a rule violation. Last warning.

The rules are clear:

The same is true for Maemo v. Android discussions. Discuss Maemo, don't disrespect other distributions.

Regarding your question. If we see wider adoption of Maemo in the mobile market by leading mobile manufacturers, then we would certainly consider a Maemo forum.
