Hi,

from mysql documentation pages (http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/...of-sync.html):

[...]
It can also happen if you try to execute two queries that return data without calling mysql_use_result() or mysql_store_result() in between.
[...]

It seems you actually perform two consecutive queries without mysql_use_result() or mysql_store_result() in between.

If this was in PHP, I would advise:

If you look at the man page for mysql_query(), you will see:

Code:
resource mysql_query ( string $query [, resource $link_identifier = NULL ] )

Your first argument to mysql_query() must be the query.

So, you can see your code, if in PHP, would be wrong with a simple review of how to use mysql_query().....

Your argument to mysql_query() is "conn" which is certainly not defined as mysql query in PHP, and certainly in the wrong form for this code (if in PHP)....

Anyway.... I guess my reply above is not useful, since you are programing in C, where the call is:

Code:
int mysql_query(MYSQL *mysql, const char *stmt_str)

... sorry, I was thinking in PHP syntax... not C ....
