use the day of the month for this in UX

ie

0 0 1,6,12,18,24,31 * * doit ....

this way, you only need to worry about the months with over 30 days....

Or setup on run for 30 day months, and one for feb, and 31 day months..

0 0 1,6,12,18,24,31 1,3,5,7,10,12 * doit ....
0 0 6,12,18,24 2,4,6,9,11 * doit ....
0 0 6,12,18,24,31 8 * doit .... #August is a problem, since july was 31
