Changing dates in a csv file

Hello,

Is there a script template out there that will assist me on creating a script to search for dates with "2011" and change it to "2012" in an excel spreadsheet. I am in Ksh

Smilie

Thank you,
Bryan

open your excel sheet in excel then :
Click in top left cell (A1)
Ctrl+A
Ctrl+H
enter the string to search
enter the new string you need
replace all
confirm & save

Otherwise you can try:
Code:
sed 's/2011/2012/g' sheet.xls >fixedsheet.xls

Check whether the generated fixedsheet.xls match your expectations.
