You wont get HP-UX running on your PC...
There is open Solaris for X86 though...
I have an old AT&T UNIX V 386 ( release from Passport) but for that you would need 5.1/4 floppy drive and a serial terminal...)
More seriously what wrong with a linux distribution?

Really willing to learn HP-UX?
If you come by Geneva, Switzerland to pick it up I will give you a D270 (3 is a lot just for me...)

Insert,

HP-UX does not work on PC as it requires its specific hardware as Vbe said. You can very well use and try Linux, most of the unix flavors and concepts remains the same.. Its a better option.

Reading books or, links are kinda like which give you information. Forums and things are like break fix and real training starts when we start working on servers individually..

In the mean time, Vbe, is that D270 offer open also for me? LOL Smilie
