Check error after delete files.

I want to delete files by this command "find ${BACKUP_DIR} -name "*" -mtime +60 -exec rm {} \;" How can I check after delete files have error from this command or not?

If the find command is not able to perform actions then the return code would be greater than 0, if not then it would be 0.

So lets assume that in BACKUP_DIR you have files for which you do not have enough permissions to access, so the find would throw an error message for those file. In such case the return code of the find command would be greater than 0.

So after the execution of the find command just check the exit status.
Code:
echo $?

Hope this is what you were expecting.
