), although you'd probably want it to be your remote machine in any case. Swap in the cuddled strings (ie, ${} values...) to be whatever your variables for the session would be. Empty or undefined vars would be ignored wherever they occur.
what this script does is open/connect to the remote host, login, change to the remote machine's target directory, change to the local machine's source directory and then put the local file onto the remote machine, then it exits. the screen chatter is captured in the log file, which can be useful for detecting errors, etc. one thing it does not do is set the transfer mode to either I or A, but you can be sure there's a default set for you already. you'll want to read up on the FTP side of things maybe...
