make sure logged in as userx before continuing script
i have a bash script and I want to add to the begining of the script to make sure that the script is being ran as you are logged in as a certain user (userx) before continuing to run the script....how?

use "whoami" with logic - call whoami, if the response is user1, execute, else, exit 1 with "sorry, you have to be super-user".

I do it the other way round...
Code:
# test user autorise
  if [ `whoami` != 'userx'  ]
     then exit
  fi

# The rest of your script..
...
#end
