some query to be clarified
Dear all,
I am really new to scripting, as i am bsy preparing audit activities which needs some scripting done.. Need ur help on the same.
Pls dont treat this mail as classroom or homework assignment.
Waiting for your quick reply on this

1)write a shell script to enter ip address and check its validity(255.255.255.255).If valid ip address is entered check whether host is accessible or not.

2) write a shell script which asks the user to enter the PPID and display all child process(PID) which depend on the PPID

3) Write a script to print disk configuration of m/c in following format
NO. Diskname DiskSize FreeSpace
1 CD01 20GB 5.3GB
2. CD02 13.5GB 10GB
