Copying files to the mount point.
how will i copy a file from my server to the mount point present in the server. Is mere "mv" command sufficient for this? Becasue i was not able to move the files to that server. The file is actually a zip file which i have to place it in the mount point so that the respective people can access it.

mv will move the file rather than copy it, but otherwise yes, that should work provided you have sufficient permissions to read the file and write to the mount point's 'root' directory.

What error message are you seeing? Also, please confirm that you are copying/moving the file between filesystems on the same server.

not sure I understand but can you use instead of mount use sudo mount?

It's quite possible I've misunderstood the O/P but I believe they are trying to copy or move a file to a different, already mounted, filesystem, rather than mount the filesystem itself.
