what this scripts dose exactly?

what this scripts dose exactly?
i am learning unix.
$* and S# i used and worked fine.

It launches the wlw-ide.jar Java application, passing all parameters and preserving white space. e.g. if you used ./thisscript.sh "first parameter" second parameter, then $1="first parameter" and $2=second and $3=parameter. If you used $* then $1=first, $2=parameter, $3=second, $4=parameter.
