Shell Programming and Scripting

Dear all,

I have a file like this.

EE48 4473 7FC9
EE48 102C D23
EE48 4DD 27D
EE48 0 0
EE48 3FFE 854
F230 DC6 BE7
F230 0 0
75F8 21A 31D
75F8 0 0
7594 1DC90 646AB
EE48 8AD 947


So i want all this Hex values converted to Decimal value.
I am using unix bash shell.

Could some one help me on this ?

If the file with the hex numbers is small enough to slurp into an array, something like

Code:

numbers=( `cat hext` )
for n in $(seq 0 $((${#numbers[@]} - 1)))
do
  printf "%d " 0x${numbers[$n]}
done

You could add some extra stuff to retain the three-to-a-line format if you need to.
