server monitor script...
hi all

i have a script which will write a log file depending upon output of TOP command ( i am on HP-UX ) and some rules to analyze processes if process falls under that rule then log entry in file. i am ready with this part i have perl script which does this for me but i have 3 HP servers and i have to run script on all of them & to monitor i have to go on each server and open log file i dont want this can i create a log file on any one server and write logs to this one file only so that i dont have to go on each server.
then by looking at this file i can send messages to user ( mail ) or take some other action.

Sure- NFS export a log directory from one of your servers (the master). Export it r/w to the other servers. On the other servers, NFS mount the directory. Write the data into a file in the imported directory, like normal.

On the master, log in and enjoy.
