since overwriting is fine , i decided to use file swapping. sed is little bit advance for me at the time being . Pls let me know if it's wrong -

/etc/services
/etc/services_enabled
/etc/services_disabled


cat /etc/services_enabled > /etc/services

do something....


cat etc/services_disabled > /etc/services
# 9  
Old 06-02-2008
grep -v "^#" /etc/services > /etc/services.bak
# 10  
Old 06-08-2008
