Data Need Urgent Help!!!

Hi guys,

I have to write a script. the criteria is:

Create a script named 'userprocesses' which will allow you to find all users currently logged on to the system and display the processes they are running. The heading for each user must be their real name not their log in name.
I.e. my login name is furqan.hussain but my real name is Furqan Hussain
The users must not be displayed more than once. Not allowed to use SED, AWK or make use of temp files in script Smilie. The output should look similar to this.

Furqan Hussain
PID TTY TIME CMD
31799 pts/3 00:00:00 vim
31866 pts/3 00:00:00 vim
2495 pts/7 00:00:00 vim
8368 pts/0 00:00:00 vim
9544 pts/2 00:00:00 ps

Alistairr Rutherford
PID TTY TIME CMD
8368 pts/0 00:00:00 vim
9544 pts/2 00:00:00 ps

Write the output to a file called processes.

A friend gave me the following to me:

#!/bin/bash

who | cut -d" " -f1 > onlineusers

noUsers=$(wc -l < loggedon # loogedon file contains list of loggin names of logged on users
count=1

while [ $count -le $noUsers ]
do
user=$(head -$count loggedon | tail -1)

finger $user > onlineusers
grep $user onlineusers | cut -d":" -f3 > onlineusers2

head -1 onlineusers2 >> processes
ps -U $user >> processes
echo >> " "
echo >> " "

count=$((count+1))
done

The above script does the job, however I can not use it because it uses temporary files, highlighted in blue. does anyone know how to substitute the temp files with coding that does same operation? Is there another way to write this? CAN ANYONE HELP?

Is it not allowed by your professor? No homework question here, read the rules.
