getting value from field dynamically
how i do pass in field number when cutting, I tried to do this:

echo $line|cut -d " " -f`$totalWordOfVessel-1`-$totalWordOfVessel
but it says 11-1: not found

Sort alpha on 1st field, numerical on 2nd field (sci notation)

I want to sort alphabetically on the first field and sort in descending numerical order on the 2nd field.
