Hello Sir/Madam,

In my system both unix and windows xp are running, I want to transfer a file from unix to window.
Sir, I m new in unix scripting ,So Please help me to solve my problem.

you need to start samba on unix...

Google on samba commands

by transfering a file , i assume you meant copying a file that is in unix to windows and viewing it there!!!

in which case you need to do these..
you need to check if you have partitioned your drives in windows as FAT or FAT32..(out of the box NTFS support is not there)

do this,(remember it only works for FAT partitions)
mount -F pcfs /dev/dsk/c0d0p0:<drive name> /<mount point>

cd to that directory
then copy your file to that directory,

then
cd /
umount /<mount point>

your done!!!
