Shell Programming and Scripting

Hi,

Need urgent help.

I need to run a Peoplesoft(PS) Application Engine(AE) process using Unix shell script.

The command line for running PS AE process is

psae -CS Server_name -CT Database_TYPE -CD Database_Name -R Run_Cntl_Name -AI AE_JOB_NAME

Kindly post the shell script code provided Server_name, Database_TYPE, Database_Name ,Run_Cntl_Name ,AE_JOB_NAME are arguments to be passed to it.

this is ur script psae.run You can execute this script by passing 5 arguments.
like , psae.run <Server> <DB Type> <Db Name> <Run_Ctl> <AE_Job>

As I am new to Unix shell scripting , so please help me with following:

Have one script which has a line

. ${EPM_SCHED_BIN}/.schdparams.${GROUP}

Anyone help as to what can i interpret from this or how to read this ???

. ${EPM_SCHED_BIN}/.schdparams.${GROUP}

This is a how we are sourcing a file to current shell.
run following command from command prompt
echo ${EPM_SCHED_BIN}/.schdparams.${GROUP}
This will be a filename with its absolute path which need to be sourced.

By sourcing a file, all the variables declared inside that file will be available to the current shell which you are working
