while running as following:

./script | awk '{ORS=NR%2?" ";"\n"}1'

getting the following error:

awk: syntax error near line 1
awk: illegal statement near line 1
awk: syntax error near line 1
awk: bailing out near line 1

Any idea please !!

Use nawk or /usr/xpg4/bin/awk on Solaris.
