thats the problem happening for my script. Environment variables are different for scheduler. this script i have defined for user ID 'mqsi' and crotab entery also i did for that user ID only.

now to solver this problem i added .profile file for mqsi user ID also in my script.
now some of the commands are working but some commands which are using database are giving error as ODBC return code is "-1". means it dont have acces to the database. but i am running crontab entery for the user ID 'mqsi' only then why this database access issue is occuring.

I think it will be little difficult to figure it out for u. because u dont know about my UNIX server. anyway thanks for helping it out guys

Add the following at the start of your script:
#!/bin/ksh
. /etc/profile
. ${HOME}/.profile


Had a similar experience on HP-UX 11.2x some time ago.
If you still have an issue, add/remove other environment files that you may use.
