replace a file in user level
hi all
how to replace a file in user level..
i tried this
Code:
cp -r /usr/lib/munna.txt /usr/lib/

saying the error permission denied..
is there any way..

please help me to replace a file in user level (not from root)

you can't if you do not have the permission.

but again only root user can change the permission.

You can not give permissions to usr levels unless you have the root permissions.There is no alternate this is because of the security reasons.
if you want to change the permissions then get the root access.

for changing the permissions you can use chmod command.

man chmod
