This is a common question that I found lot of results in the forums.
I am trying to use uuencode to attach a file and send email. I have no issues sending email, but not able to attach any files using sendmail.
Is uuencode part of sendmail or does 'uuencode' utility need to be there on the machine? If so, can someone help me find where I can download it? I am using Linux RHEL 3.0 OS.
I am doing this:
content="To:
chiru_h@xyz.com\n";
content="${content}From:
chiru_h@xyz.com\n";
content="${content}Subject: This is a test\n";
content="${content}$(cat body.txt)\n";
content="${content}$(uuencode attach.txt)\n";
echo -e "$content" | /usr/lib/sendmail -tv
I could send email but not attach the file.
