Hi,

Please can you someone help me out to eliminate the problem. Here, it correctly prints the myFilenameCount but returns the first value of array myFilenamePatterns as blank.

while [ $i -lt $myFilenameCount ]

echo "FilenamePatterns: ${myFilenamePatterns[${i}]}"
(( i += 1 ))
done

Your script is working properly -- to test it, replace the 'while' line with:

echo "A\nB\nC\nD" | while read myFilenamePatterns[${i}]

Which points your problem to the input.
