I need to write a shell script.
Hi Guys,

I need to write a shell script, to which I have getting results from CPU and Memory Utilization. This is to generate automatically through Shell script by running cron job. Is it possible to write it. I am new to this shell scripting.

Can you please help me on this ASAP.

No one can help you with info like that. Post your OS. Run "uname -a" and post the results.

I need a simple shell script
I need a simple shell script for CPU and Memory Usages. These details daily I need to send my manager like daily report. Also I am looking for cronjob for this to generate an altert message for this daily report.
Please let me know if you have any queries.

by exectuing this command 'uname -a' , we can get the info. about current kernal.

Could you please post the o/p of 'uname -a' command from your system so that we can know about your system? Otherwise like Mr. Porter said " we can't help you program a toaster"

Pls don't post such problems


Anyhow, use top utility..i think it won't come with OS
