check in unix shell script so that no one is able to run the script manually
I want to create an automated script which is called by another maually executed script.
The condition is that the no one should be able to manually execute the automated script.
The automated script can be on the same machine or it can be on a remote machine.
Can any one suggest a check in the automated script so that all the above conditions are met ?

Have the first script create a known filespec file - ie., a specific file only the user running the process can open and delete.

The automated script checks for the existence of the known file
when the known file is not found - stop.
when the file is found, delete the file, then run the script.
