script for format a file
is there any way to format a file by just removing first line and last line from the file.

my file is like
test.txt
HTML Code:
12may2004,20may2004,A
123,SCOTT,TIGER,,,,12,12-MAY-2006
124,TIGER,SCOTT,,,,,,,
....
...
163,cscssaa,abc,,,,12,12-MAY-2006
END
my requirement is to produce the same file by removing first line and end line from the file without changing its rest of data
ie target file should be
test.txt
HTML Code:
123,SCOTT,TIGER,,,,12,12-MAY-2006
124,TIGER,SCOTT,,,,,,,
....
...
163,cscssaa,abc,,,,12,12-MAY-2006
i want to use this options by shell script..


Can any one assist what is the best way.
