Help:Copy file from one to other using script
Hi Frineds,

Through my DTS process I am generating one file at one directory like,

/sqlsrvr_demo/dts/put/transaction_fact.csv

now I want to copy this files(only when the files size is greater than 0 kb) to some other directory like

/sqlsrvr_demo/dts/get/transaction_fact.csv

Can anyone help me out on this?

you can do this by the following script

Code:
v_size=`ls -l /sqlsrvr_demo/dts/put/transaction_fact.csv | awk '{print $5}'`
if [ v_size -gt 0 ]
then
cp /sqlsrvr_demo/dts/put/transaction_fact.csv /directory path/filename
fi

in the script code segment "if [ v_size -gt 0 ]" checks for size and this will check if file is not zero length file then it will copy.you can modify for size according to ur requirements.like if you want to copy file only if filesize is more than 1 MB then replace this condition by
if [ $V_SIZE -gt 1048576 ]
