CPU & Memory A single file for many commands

Hello All,

I have a list of short programs (over 200) to run and it is a hassle to sit and execute each one of them one after the other.

What I'd like to know is if it was possible to create one file which would list all these commands and all I need to do is to execute this one single file.

Please do tell me. I'm looking forward to your response.

Zen.

It's called a shell script.
Example series of commands
Code:
#!/bin/bash
ls -l /path
cd /path
chmod 777 *
exit

Tell us your version of unix and your shell (echo $SHELL will tell you what shell you have)) we can point you to a tutorial on scripting....
