Why this simple script, is not working ?
Hi everybody
I want to create 20 file using simple script - listed bellow-.
But the script doesn't work.
I hope anyone guide me to correct this script

integer number=01
until (($number==21))
do
>TELE-LOG-$number
number=$number+01
echo $number
done
exit
--------------

What is the problem with this script ?
It works fine on mon AIX system (using Ksh)

The eror message
I have tried my script and yours but still having whenever execute the script, I have the following message:

number: not found

this is the only message and there is always on created file:
TELE-LOG-01

I've tested your script, as aigles, and works fine. What shell/system are you using?
