Pass tablename as a parameter in the Control File -- sqlldr
Just wanted to know if there is a way to pass the table name as a parameter in the control file.

I have two tables...Table A and Table B.

Code:
LOAD DATA
append
INTO TABLE TABLE_B
FIELDS TERMINATED BY X'09' OPTIONALLY ENCLOSED BY '"' AND '"'
TRAILING NULLCOLS

Rather than hard coding 'TABLE_B', can I pass it as a parameter? I searched the forum and couldn't find any...

I am executing sqlldr from a shell script and passing control file and data file as parameters. Can I add an additional parameter as a table name too?

I think I have got the answer....

PHP Code:
sed s/TABLENAME/$1/ Template.ctl > /tmp/sample.ctl 
In the control file, I have TABLENAME as a parameter in the Template.ctl.

In the shell script, I am passing TABLENAME as a parameter...
