What be the user name of the accessing process? What access does it have on the working directory?

user is hts, chown is also set to hts for both files, script executable with 755.
I set like that under that folder from terminal:

Code:
chmod +x final.sh
chown hts:hts final.sh
chown hts:hts s.txt

I changed the script like this and somehow it works now:

Code:
#!/bin/bash
cd /path_to_script_and_s.txt_files/
trap 'kill -9 $PID 2>/dev/null' EXIT
while read -r line;
do
/usr/bin/ffmpeg -re -y -i "$line" -vcodec copy -acodec copy -strict -2 -f mpegts  pipe:1 < /dev/null
done <"$1"
exit 0

Thanks
Boris

Strange ... running out of ideas ...
You say final.sh works with echo $file and doesn't with ffmpeg ..., both run with identical command from browser... Please try with echoing the ffmpeg line - just as a last, desparate attempt.

Ohhh ... cross posted. Glad it worked.

here you are:

Code:
root@ns*****:/home/hts/.hts/tvheadend# ./final.sh s.txt
/usr/bin/ffmpeg -re -y -i http://11.22 -vcodec copy -acodec copy -strict -2 -f mpegts  pipe:1 < /dev/null
/usr/bin/ffmpeg -re -y -i http://33.44 -vcodec copy -acodec copy -strict -2 -f mpegts  pipe:1 < /dev/null
/usr/bin/ffmpeg -re -y -i http://55.66 -vcodec copy -acodec copy -strict -2 -f mpegts  pipe:1 < /dev/null

Many thanks

The URLs look a bit garbled? And, you should run it the same way you do when the errors occur - from within the browser.

No problem with URL, just hidden. Yes, I do run it from browser but without codes, it is nothing. Many thanks again Rudic
