Append Text File from another File in line 6
Hi,

Anyone can help on how to append a file1.txt into file2.txt after line 3 using sed command.

file1.txt
Code:
1. testa
2. testb
3. testc
4. testd
5. test5
6. test6

file2.txt
Code:
break here
this is a test
break end here

output
Code:
1. testa
2. testb
3. testc
break here
this is a test
break end here
4. testd
5. test5
6. test6

We would normally expect that a user that asked more than 20 questions in this forum would try looking at the man page for a utility on their system before posting here... If one had done that, one might try something like:

sed '3r file2.txt' file1.txt

which produces exactly the output requested.
