Hello Ravinder,

I have few questions here. Please help me.

1) In the below code does array B holds the value of complete line of Input_File (using $0) ? If yes then why we need index as $(NF-1) OFS $NF

B[$(NF-1) OFS $NF]=$0}

2) Array A is going through each Date which I understood but I dont understand where we are taking care of Unique second field from the code.

Thanks
Rahul

Hello Rahul,

Following is the explanation for same, let me know if you have any queries. Because array A is having $2 as index and array B has as $(NF-1) and $NF. But array A's value is $(NF-1) OFS $NF so I am taking advantage of that and making it B[A[Oracle8_G567_PEGA_Archivedel]]where A[Oracle8_G567_PEGA_Archivedel]= $0 complete line and how A[$2] will come, which I have already mention ed condition where DATE1 variable is comparing the value of A[$2] and if it is grater than it's previos value then it will hold new value or it will keep the old one.

Thanks,
R. Singh
