Issue with Perl Code in 5.10 vs 5.8
Hi All,

I am working on Perl script to insert data into a table. It is pretty straight forward. For some reason it is not working in Linux which has 5.10 version of Perl and in AIX where the Perl version is 5.8 it works fine.

I don't want to post the entire code here.

Let me tell what is happening

whenever it inserts data, it inserts a negative number into the table column in linux. but when running in AIX 5.8 there is no such problem

You may want to build a simpler version of the script that demonstrates the issue, without exposing all of your logic. Then people will be able to help you. Make sure that use strict and use warnings are turned on. Also print out the values that are sometime negative when they are set so that you might be able to figure out where things go wrong on Linux.

perl: a way to see a sub code in debug mode: perl -de 0 ?

Is there a way to see or print a sub code? Sometime a sub could be already defined, but in the debug mode (so, interactively) it could be already out of screen.
