Yes, but your xargs tweak deals with that nicely, I just don't like <file1.txt at the front Smilie

Hi everyone!

All options worked fine, however I chose the solution provided by senhia83 as I think its more "flexible" in regards of what other commands besides echo can be prompted into the system after the "do" statement.

@madeingermany - I definetely will look more into xargs, its seems pretty useful.

I am trying to use awk to place the contens of a filename in $1 and $2 followed by the data in the text file. Basically, put the filename within the text file.
