Please do not use one thread for two different problems; open a new thread instead of adding on to an existing thread.
Why would you think that the script that you googled would do what you want? Why would using a script that specifies that input fields are separated by a comma when your input file has fields separated by an octothorp (#)?

Your requirements are also incomplete:
  1. Will all lines for a zip file be adjacent in your input files?
  2. What is supposed to happen if some lines for a given zip file have different pdf files?
  3. Does it matter if the order of the zip files in the output file is different from the order of the zip files in the input file?

Help us help you by supplying complete, unambiguous requirements.

I am trying to use awk to extract and print the first ocurrence of NM_ and NP_ with a : before in each line. The input file is tab-delimeted, but the output does not need to be.
