How to get a process's log?

Code:
root@SDP# setup_process_vm_readv_simple
Target process is setup
Run the following to test:
./t_process_vm_readv_simple 1299 0x804a008 14

wait for a while it said " Target process exiting"
so it looks it's a process
I can't get the log with

Code:
setup_process_vm_readv_simple> x.log 2>&1

I don't want to use script to get it
