Want to convert an expect script to binary in Linux
Does anyone know how to convert an expect script to binary in linux?.

Encryption does not work that way. I know of no such utility anyway.

If you control the machine, chmod and sudo are the best protection -- allow nobody except one user to access it, a user without a password. Configure sudo to only allow people sudo access to that utility, as that user, in very specific ways. Only root will be able to see the script.

If you do don't even trust root, you are completely doomed, because root controls everything and cannot be stopped.

If you want a binary file to do tasks, you should fallback to non-scripting languages, such as C.
A script file, such as expect or bash, will always remain 'plaintext', unless you encrypt it, but then it wont be executable anymore.

...and any tricks to "get around" that will by definition mean giving the password away freely, to head off a 5-page argument. We've been down this road a few times before.

Here is what I did . . . . I FTP'd several *.pdf files from a web site to a UNIX server, and did not set the transfer mode to BIN, now Adobe thinks that the documents are corrupted.
