Your file has exactly TWO lines that fit your specification (a version.info in a subdirectory to a directory that has a version.info), and these two have been filtered out by my proposal. So your statement cited above is not true. This was REALLY wasting peoples' time!

To stabilize performance of the proposal, switch a sort between find and while (find ... | sort | while ...), because your original sample was misleading as well!
