Need help in command
Hi,

I want to search files in directories and subdirectories in unix. e.g. I have a directory named as "xpath".in that i have files as file.txt,file2.txt and so on..Inside xpath we have a subdirectories called adm "/xpath/adm". In adm we have a files as file1.txt.file2.txt,file3.txt and so on..

right now i am using find command it is displaying the following result

-rw-r--r-- 1 apps apps  184 Apr 24 23:30 ./xpath/file.txt
-rw-r--r-- 1 apps apps  184 Apr 24 23:30 ./xpath/file2.txt
-rw-r--r-- 1 apps apps  184 Apr 24 23:30 ./xpath/file3.txt
-rw-r--r-- 1 apps apps  184 Apr 24 23:30 ./xpath/file4.txt
-rw-r--r-- 1 apps apps  184 Apr 24 23:30 ./xpath/file5.txt

./xpath/adm:
total 0
-rw-r--r-- 1 apps apps 10 Jun  3 02:23 file2.txt

./xpath/adm/appl_top:
total 0
-rw-r--r-- 1 apps apps 14 Jun  3 01:26 file1.txt

However we need the output as follows:

could you please help me the command to achieve the above result.

Try something like:

find . ! -type d -exec ls -l {} +

to leave out directories, or:

find . -type f -exec ls -l {} +

to list only files
# 3

Read the manual page for find to see if you might have support of the -ls option. You could then:-

find . ! -type d -ls

....or perhaps:-

find . -type f -ls
