List and copy dir remotely using shell script

Hi,

I am looking for a way to copy the directory on a remote machine that's present on the same remote machine.

ex. I have multiple directories on a remote machine "B" created as

/abc/LOG_1004
/abc/LOG_1008
/abc/LOG_1012

The script should be able to create a copy of the latest dirs of above on the same remote machine "B".

Thanks in advance

So a few questions first:-
  • What have you tried so far?
  • What errors/output are you getting?
  • What OS and version are you using?
  • What shell or tools are you using?
Most importantly, What have you tried so far?

If you were to consider the problem as a manual tasks, break it down into smaller chunks and logically work out the simplest steps you can. Does that help?

Show us your efforts and thinking and we will be better placed to help you.
