Gawk using Boolean "NOT"

How can I tell gawk to print out everything else my search finds? So once it finds all the lines in the file that contain "-1", I want it to print all the rest of the lines. Like:
Code:
cat test-file | grep -v '\-1'

I want this done using gawk
Code:
cat test-file | gawk -F '|' '{OFS="|";IGNORECASE=1;} ($4) ~/\-1/ {print $0}'

??

try
Code:
nawk '$0 !~ /-1/' filename

is this working for gawk?

awesome. I see that I can also do this with gawk:
Code:
cat test-file | gawk -F '|' '{OFS="|";IGNORECASE=1;} ($4) ~/\-1/ {print $0}'

Don't use cat, make awk read the file itself; and use the inversion !:
Code:
gawk -F '|' '{OFS="|";IGNORECASE=1;} ($4) !~ /\-1/ {print $0}' test-file

Don't specify the variables for every line in the mid section. Try:
Code:
gawk -F '|' -v OFS='|' -v IGNORECASE=1 '$4 !~ /-1/'

But since neither IGNORECASE nor OFS are being used here and you probably do not want to discard lines where "-1" is part of bigger number of string, I suspect you are looking for this:
Code:
gawk -F\| '$4 != -1'
