Hi,
I have this script:
awk -v va=45 '$0~va{print}' flo2
That returns: "4526745 1234 " (this is the only line of the file "flo2".
However, I would like to get "va" to match the begining of the line, so that is "va" is different than 45 (eg. 67, 12 ...) I would not have any output. That... (3 Replies)

Anyone know how I will use awk's variable in a regular expression?
This line of code of mine is working, the value PREMS should be a variable:
awk '$1 ~ /PREMS/ { if(length(appldata)+2 >= length($1)) print $0; }' appldata=$APPLDATA /tmp/file.tmp
The value of APPLDATA variable is PREMS.

RDF::Query::Algebra::Service(3pm) User Contributed Perl Documentation RDF::Query::Algebra::Service(3pm)
NAME
RDF::Query::Algebra::Service - Algebra class for SERVICE (federation) patterns
VERSION
This document describes RDF::Query::Algebra::Service version 2.908.
METHODS
Beyond the methods documented below, this class inherits methods from the RDF::Query::Algebra class.
"new ( $endpoint, $pattern, $silent )"
Returns a new Service structure.
"construct_args"
Returns a list of arguments that, passed to this class' constructor, will produce a clone of this algebra pattern.
"endpoint"
Returns the endpoint resource of the named graph expression.
"pattern"
Returns the graph pattern of the named graph expression.
"silent"
Returns true if the service operation is to ignore errors during execution.
"lhs"
If the SERVCE operation uses a variable endpoint, then it is considered a binary operator, executing the left-hand-side pattern first,
and using results from it to bind endpoint URL values to use in SERVICE evaluation.
"add_bloom ( $variable, $filter )"
Adds a FILTER to the enclosed GroupGraphPattern to restrict values of the named $variable to the values encoded in the $filter (a
Bloom::Filter object).
"sse"
Returns the SSE string for this algebra expression.
"as_sparql"
Returns the SPARQL string for this algebra expression.
"as_hash"
Returns the query as a nested set of plain data structures (no objects).
"type"
Returns the type of this algebra expression.
"referenced_variables"
Returns a list of the variable names used in this algebra expression.
"potentially_bound"
Returns a list of the variable names used in this algebra expression that will bind values during execution.
"definite_variables"
Returns a list of the variable names that will be bound after evaluating this algebra expression.
"qualify_uris ( \%namespaces, $base_uri )"
Returns a new algebra pattern where all referenced Resource nodes representing QNames (ns:local) are qualified using the supplied
%namespaces.
