This question has been asked many times. Try:
Code:
grep -xFf file1 file2

or
Code:
awk 'NR==FNR{A[$0]; next} $0 in A' file1 file2

You cold also try:

awk 'NR==FNR{A[$1]; next} $1 in A' file1 file2

Which does not work with file names with spaces, but is less sensitive to accidental extra leading or trailing spaces in the input files..
