What is the script to take the l?
Hi,
Please help me in creating the script for this requirement.
i have a requirement like this. In a file data is like sample data

here i want to capture the eligiblity request to /eligibility request in other file. some times field names might be more and more than eligibility requests.

i tried like this but unable to get result

A1= "grep -n "<eligibilityRequest" /work/cn01515/temp/eligReqXML.log| cut -f1 -d ':' > /work/cn01515/temp/A1.txt"

Hi guy,
If you could use pair of "grep -n" to locate every segment that you needed in the file. Why not use sed directly.
Code:
sed -n '/<eligibilityRequest/,/<\/eligibilityRequest/p' eligReqXML_2.txt.log

Why do you have three input files? What are the other two for?
