Perl code to output data
Hello,

I have a much larger data set like the attached example. Is there a code that will output the data to look like? Thank you.

hg19_pseudoYale60_PGOHUM00000245279 chr1:242220709-242223574
hg19_pseudoYale60_PGOHUM00000243857 chr1:120820-133580
hg19_pseudoYale60_PGOHUM00000243858 chr1:131030-131544

Can you clarify what you mean. I looked at the attached excel spreadsheet. You should be able to use grep or awk r perl if you are trying to decipher the file.

It looks like all you may need to do is

grep ">" <data-file>
or
grep "hg19" <data-file>

 grep "hg19" hg19_psuedogene.tx >output.txt

The code above works and the results are attached. However, the format below is desired. I am not sure what the best way to parse the grep is or if there is another way. Thanks.

perl: a way to see a sub code in debug mode: perl -de 0 ?

Is there a way to see or print a sub code? Sometime a sub could be already defined, but in the debug mode (so, interactively) it could be already out of screen.
