Send mail as attachment
Hi All,

I am trying to send mail via unix and attaching file along with that mail, but facing issue while sending.

I have tried below commands-
1)-
Code:
uuencode $prmDirOutput/report_mailbody $prmDirOutput/report_mailbody | mailx -s "Acknowledgment file- $subject" $email_id

2)-
Code:
mutt -a $prmDirOutput/report_mailbody -s "Acknowledgment file- $subject" $email_id

In mail insted of attachment I'm getting mail body as-

instead of

varaiable try using absolute path or include

in quotes

I have removed parameter path and provided full path also tried with quotes but no luck.

could be problem with your mail box try or outlook it some times happens with web based mailboxes


can you try sending some test file as attachment to you mail id and see if its proper if its not then we can conclude it to be problem with mailbox i guess

Try using -m option to avoid adding MIME header lines:

mailx -m -s ""Acknowledgment file- $subject" $email_id
