Need help on regular expression

Hi ,

I am trying to write a mod_header module rule which will look a specific url (https://partner.testing.com) and rewrite it. The header line is given below. where the url comes in between of the line. i know ^ expression can be used for match the beginning of the line. but not sure how to look into the url in between the line. Please help.

Code:
Location=http://externalstage.testing.com:81/OA_HTML/AppsLocalLogin.jsp?requestUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fpartner.testing.com%3A443%2FOA_HTML%2FOA.jsp%3Fpage%3D%2Foracle%2Fapps%2Ffnd%2Fframework%2Fnavigate%2Fwebui%2FHomePG%26homePage%3DY%26OAPB%3DFWK_HOMEPAGE_BRAND%26oapc%3D20%26transactionid%3D1567471698&cancelUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fpartner.testing.com%3A443%2FOA_HTML%2FAppsLogin&langCode=US

Regards,
arumon

Which occurance of the URL do you want to change? Or all of them?

I don't think I've ever used mod_header, but I believe it does a regex search & replace, so you don't need to specify the whole header line, just the part you want to match.

Hi Carl,

Thanks for the reply.
My requirement is to change the below occurance
if there is "http://partners.testing.com:443" then to "http://externalstage.testing.com:81"
I am using the below rule but only the changing the first occurance as you can see on the first post. I want to get it changed for requestUrl and cancelURl as well.
Header edit Location ^https://partners.testing.com:443 http://externalstage.testing.com:81
mod_headers will do search and replace automatically as per the regex level direction we provide. Hence i am looking for the regex pattern for
https%3A%2F%2Fpartner.testing.com%3A443 and http%3A%2F%2Fexternalstage.testing.com%3A81

The regular expression for an exact match is just the string itself.

edit will only change the first occurance, but there's nothing stopping you from having more than one Header directive. You could have the same one 3 times (without the caret), or be more specific by using the caret & Url fields, as you prefer.
Code:
Header edit Location ^https://partners.testing.com:443 http://externalstage.testing.com:81
Header edit Location requestUrl=https://partners.testing.com:443 requestUrl=http://externalstage.testing.com:81
Header edit Location cancelUrl=https://partners.testing.com:443 cancelUrl=requestUrl=http://externalstage.testing.com:81

Also, use [code] tags...
