Sendmail gz Attachments

Hi All,

I have a problem again with sendmail content type . I am trying to attach the gz file to the html email but couldnt figure out even after extensive google.

Here is my code.

Code:
   (
                echo "From: $FROM"
                echo "To: $MAILTO"
                echo "MIME-Version: 1.0"
                echo "Subject: $SUBJECT"
                echo 'Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="GvXjxJ+pjyke8COw"'
                echo "Content-Disposition: inline"
                echo ""
                echo "--GvXjxJ+pjyke8COw"
                echo "Content-Type: text/html"
                echo "Content-Disposition: inline"
                cat TheMailer.html
                echo ""
                echo "--GvXjxJ+pjyke8COw"
                echo "Content-Type: text/plain"
                echo "Content-Disposition: attachement; filename=last_seen_date"
                echo ""
                cat last_seen_date.csv
                echo ""
                echo "--GvXjxJ+pjyke8COw"
                echo "Content-Type: text/plain"
                echo "Content-Disposition: attachement; filename=last_seen_date"

    echo " "
           echo "--GvXjxJ+pjyke8COw"
           echo "Content-Type: text/plain"
           echo "Content-Encoding: application/x-gzip"
           echo "Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=file.csv.gz"
           cat file.csv.gz

        ) | /usr/sbin/sendmail -t

Appreciate your help in resolving this.

Thanks

try uuencode instead of cat ... it is included in the sharutils package if you are running centos/fedora/red hat ...

Code:
   (
                echo "From: $FROM"
                echo "To: $MAILTO"
                echo "MIME-Version: 1.0"
                echo "Subject: $SUBJECT"
                echo 'Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="GvXjxJ+pjyke8COw"'
                echo "Content-Disposition: inline"
                echo ""
                echo "--GvXjxJ+pjyke8COw"
                echo "Content-Type: text/html"
                echo "Content-Disposition: inline"
                cat TheMailer.html
                echo ""
                echo "--GvXjxJ+pjyke8COw"
                echo "Content-Type: text/plain"
                echo "Content-Disposition: attachement; filename=last_seen_date"
                echo ""
                cat last_seen_date.csv
                echo ""
                echo "--GvXjxJ+pjyke8COw"
                echo "Content-Type: text/plain"
                echo "Content-Disposition: attachement; filename=last_seen_date"

    echo " "
           echo "--GvXjxJ+pjyke8COw"
           echo "Content-Type: text/plain"
           echo "Content-Encoding: application/x-gzip"
           echo "Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=file.csv.gz"
           uuencode file.csv.gz

If you don't have uuencode try using base64 like we discussed in your previous thread.
