I'm having the same error running in HPux... please help

See "man mailx". There is a lengthy description of the "Tilde Escapes" which includes "carbon copy". As Serious Sam states also try testing with different email addresses (having read the section in "man mailx" about "metoo").

already tried that but I need to be in a shell like
$mailx 2pac@domain.com
subject: Test
~c person@domain.com
body of the letter

~. --> to send the mail

it work but how do I automate this using a script?

mailx -s "Test" 2pac@domain.com -c person@domain.com <body of the letter

seem not to work in HPux 11
